Stumpffia be Köhler, Vences, D'Cruze, and Glaw, 2010, J. Zool., London, 282: 26. Holotype: ZSM 1668/2008, by original designation. Type locality: "edge of the river below the ‘Point de Vue Petit Tsingy’, 121° 57′ S, 49° 107′ E, c. 90 m a.s.l., Ankarana Special Reserve, Antsiranana Province, northern Madagascar".
