Anodonthyla rouxae Guibé, 1974, Bull. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat. Paris, Ser. 3, Zool., 171: 1185. Holotype: MNHNP 1973.666, by original designation. Type locality: "Chaînes Anosyennes, bambous", Madagascar.

English Names

Madagascar Climbing Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 87).

Distribution

Known from the type locality in the Anosy Mountains, and from Andohahela National Park at high elevations, Madagascar.

See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 445. Vences, Glaw, Köhler, and Wollenberg, 2010, Contrib. Zool., Amsterdam, 79: 32, provided new localities other than the type locality.
