Xenobatrachus subcroceus Menzies and Tyler, 1977, J. Zool., London, 183: 450. Holotype: UP 4393, by original designation. Type locality: "approximately 11 km north of Lae, [Morobe Province,] Papua New Guinea".

Distribution

Hill forest on the north coast of New Guinea including coastal ranges between Vanimo and Lae, Papua New Guinea, 0-1000 m elevation.

Comment

Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 264-265, provided a brief account (as Xenobatrachus subcroceus). Shea and Kraus, 2007, Zootaxa, 1514: 37-60, commented on types.
