Oxydactyla alpestris Zweifel, 2000, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 253: 75. Holotype: AMNH 76854, by original designation. Type locality: "Gomgale Pass, elevation about 2400 m, approximately 17 km south and 15 km west of Kundiawa, Simbu Province, Papua New Guinea".
