Oreophryne atrigularis Günther, Richards, and Iskandar, 2001, Spixiana, München, 24: 258. Holotype: ZMB 6226, by original designation. Type locality: "at an altitude of 610 m. s. l., Wondiwoi Mountains at the base of the Wandammen Peninsula, abou 8 km west of the coastal village of Yeretuar, 2° 56′ S, 134° 36′ E, Nabire district, Irian Jaya [now Papua], Indonesia".

Distribution

Slopes and valleys between 350 and 750 m in the Wondiwoi Moutains, at the base of the Wandammen Peninsula, Papua (New Guinea), Indonesia.

Günther, 2003, Faun. Abh. Staatl. Mus. Tierkd., Dresden, 24: 214, provided a discussion of range and a new record. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 205-206, provided a brief account.
