Oreophryne asplenicola Günther, 2003, Zool. Abh. Staatl. Mus. Tierkd. Dresden, 53: 75. Holotype: ZMB 65894, by original designation. Type locality: "7 km NEN of the village of Kontiunae, 15 km NE of Serui in the Waira Mountain, 1° 47′ S and 136° 20′ E, Yapen Island, Papua, Province of Indonesia, altitude 650 m a.s.l."

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality on a slope of the Waira Mountain, about 7 km north-northeast of Konti, Yapen Island, Papua (New Guinea), Indonesia.
