Asterophrys slateri Loveridge, 1955, Breviora, 50: 1. Holotype: MCZ 28205, by original designation. Type locality: "Omati, near Port Moresby, Papua [Gulf Province, Papua New Guinea]" (the type locality is actually about 400 km northwest of Port Moresby according to R.G. Zweifel in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 353.

Callulops slateri — Dubois, 1988, Alytes, 7: 1-5.

English Names

Slater's Callulops Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 88).

Distribution

Southern lowlands and foothils in Western and Gulf provinces, Papua New Guinea, 1520 m elevation, west to almost the Papua New Guinea border, within which it is expected to occur.
