Phrynixalus oxyrhinus Boulenger, 1898, Proc. Zool. Soc. London, 1898: 480. Syntypes: BMNH 1947.2.12.1-5 (formerly 1898.3.3.12-16). Type locality: "St. Aignan I. [Misima I.], south of Ferguson I., British New Guinea [Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea]".

Distribution

Eastern Papua New Guinea, Central Province to Misima I., Milne Bay Province; D'Entrecasteau Islands and Louisiade Archipelago and Woodlark Island, 0-1000 m elevation.
