Cophixalus nubicola Zweifel, 1962, Am. Mus. Novit., 2087: 8. Holotype: AMNH 66581, by original designation. Type locality: "at an elevation of 10,200 feet on a ridge of Mt. Michael, Territory of New Guinea [Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea].

English Names

Michael Rainforest Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 89).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Mount Michael, Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea, 3100 m elevation).
