Choerophryne nigrescens Günther, 2008, Acta Zool. Sinica, 54: 664. Holotype: ZMB 70356, by original designation. Type locality: "Kontiunae (Konti ) , or about 15 km straight-line distance NE of Serui , Yapen Island, Cenderawasih Bay, Papua Province of Indonesia , altitude 650 m asl, 1°47′S and 136°20′E."

English Names

Blackish Choerophryne (original publication).

Distribution

Known only from three localities on Yapen Island, Papua Province, Indonesia (New Guinea): type locality on Waira Mountain, Amoman Mountain, and 3 km east of the village of Randowaya.
