Austrochaperina rivularis Zweifel, 2000, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 253: 52. Holotype: AMNH 130551, by original designation. Type locality: "Finalbin, 840 m, 5 km N, 2 km W Tabubil, Western Province, Papua New Guinea".

Distribution
Upper Ok Tedi and upper Sepik River catchments, and as far east as 143°, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea, 600-1600 m elevation.
