Austrochaperina brevipes Fry, 1915, Proc. R. Soc. Queensland, 27: 61. Holotype: AMS R2285 according to Cogger, 1979, Rec. Aust. Mus., 32: 177. Type locality: "Bloomfield River, near Cooktown, North-eastern Queensland", Australia. Secondary homonym of Liophryne brevipes Boulenger, 1892.

Sphenophryne fryi Zweifel, 1962, Am. Mus. Novit., 2113: 26. Replacement name for Austrochaperina brevipes Fry, 1915.
