Comment

See account (as Cophixalus darlingtoni) by Zweifel, 1962, Am. Mus. Novit., 2087: 7-8. See also Menzies, 1999, Aust. J. Zool., 47: 327-360. Zweifel, 2003, Am. Mus. Novit., 3419: 6, noted that this species is not reliably distinguishable from Albericus fafniri on the basis of morphology alone. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 175, provided a brief account. Kraus, 2010, Herpetol. Rev., 41: 246-248, provided a record from the Southern Highlands Province and commented on the range.
