Adelophryne tridactyla Duellman and Mendelson, 1995, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 55: 350. Holotype: URP-WED 59953, by original designation. Type locality: "San Jacinto, 190 m, Departamento Loreto, Peru".

Distribution
Known from Amazonia in northern Loreto, Peru, Tabatinga, Amazonas, Brazil, and Pastaza Province, Ecuador.

Ortega-Andrade and Valencia, 2010, Herpetol. Notes, 3: 251-256, provided the first record for Ecuador and discussed the range.
