Syncope carvalhoi Nelson, 1975, J. Herpetol., 9: 81. Holotype: MZUSP 36429, by original designation. Type locality: "Rio Ampi-Yacú (=Amphiyacú), Estirón, Loreta [=Loreto], Peru".

Carvalho's Silent Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 93).

Distribution

Region of Loreto, Peru, to nearby Colombia.
