Megophrys mangshanensis Fei and Ye In Fei, Ye, and Huang, 1990, Key to Chinese Amph.: 99, 273. Holotype: CIB 890063, by original designation. Type locality: Mangshan, Yizhang County, Hunan Province at 1000 m elevation, China.

Megophrys (Xenophrys) mangshanensis — Dubois and Ohler, 1998, Dumerilia, 4: 14.

Xenophrys mangshanensis — Ohler, 2003, Alytes, 21: 23. by implication; Delorme, Dubois, Grosjean, and Ohler, 2006, Alytes, 24: 17.

English Names

Mangshan Spadefoot Toad (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 86).

Mangshan Horned Toad (Fei, 1999, Atlas Amph. China: 110).

Distribution

Riparian forests of southern Hunan and northern Guangdong, China, 300-1000 m elevation.
