Scutiger pingwuensis Liu and Tian In Liu, Hu, Tian, and Wu, 1978, Mater. Herpetol. Res., 4: 18. Holotype: CIB 750793, by original designation. Type locality: Wang-ba-chu, Pingwu [County], northern Sichuan, alt. 2200 m, China.

English Names

Pingwu Lazy Toad (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 87).

Pingwu Alpine Toad (Fei, 1999, Atlas Amph. China: 78).

Distribution

Known only from the Pingwu County in northeastern Sichuan, China, ca. 2200 m elevation.

Comment

Related to Scutiger chingtingensis, according to the redescription ( Liu and Tian, 1981, Acta Herpetol. Sinica, Chengdu, 5 (1): 5-10). May belong in Oreolalax, but see comment under Scutiger.
