Oreolalax puxiongensis Liu and Fei In Liu, Hu, and Fei, 1979, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 4: 84. Holotype: CIB 65II0646, by original designation. Type locality: "Pu-xiong of Yuexi-Xian, Sichuan, altitude 2900 m", China.

Oreolalax puxiongensis — Delorme, Dubois, Grosjean, and Ohler, 2006, Alytes, 24: 12.

English Names

Puxiong Toothed Toad (Fei, 1999, Atlas Amph. China: 70-71).

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Yuexi-Xian, Sichuan, China), 2600-2900 m elevation.

Comment

Placed in the synonymy Oreolalax schmidti by Inger, Zhao, Shaffer, and Wu, 1990, Fieldiana, Zool., N.S.,, 58: 7, but this was rejected by Ye, Fei, and Hu, 1993, Rare and Economic Amph. China 120; Fu, Lathrop, and Murphy, 1997, Asiat. Herpetol. Res., 7: 32-37; and Fu and Murphy, 1997, Asiat. Herpetol. Res., 7: 38-43. See brief account, figure, and map by Fei, 1999, Atlas Amph.
