Comment

Delorme, Dubois, Grosjean, and Ohler, 2006, Alytes, 24: 14, discussed briefly the nomenclatural confusion of Ixalus lateralis with Megophrys major and the likelihood that Leptolalax lateralis and Leptolalax pelodytoides are conspecific. Humtsoe, Bordoloi, Ohler, and Dubois, 2008, Zootaxa, 1921: 24-34, discussed the confusing history of the name Ixalus lateralis and designated a neotype. Ohler, Wollenberg, Grosjean, Hendrix, Vences, Ziegler, and Dubois, 2011, Zootaxa, 3147: 1-83, characterized the species comparatively.
