Known only from the type locality on Ngoc Linh Mountain, Central Highlands, Dac Glei District, Kon Tum Province, Vietnam.
Expected to have a larger range in the Central Highlands of Vietnam and adjacent Laos. Stuart, Rowley, Tran, Le, and Hoang, 2011, Zootaxa, 2804: 36, commented on eye color.
