Distribution
Central, southern and western Yunnan, China, elevation 2030 m), to Myitkyina District, Myanmar, and to the border areas of Laos and northwestern Vietnam, where it is expected.
Comment
Similar to Leptobrachium chapaense according to the original publication. Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 2: 261-, provided an account, illustration of the holotype, and a spot map. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2010, Colored Atlas of Chinese Amph.: 160, provided a brief account including photographs. Wogan, 2012, Zootaxa, 3415: 33, commented on the species and provided the first record for Myanmar.
