Leptobrachella parva Dring, 1983, Amphibia-Reptilia, 4: 90. Holotype: BMNH 1978. 1500, by original designation. Type locality: "stream 1A, camp one 150 m, Gunung Mulu, Fourth Division, Sarawak", Malaysia (Borneo).
Gunung Mulu Borneo Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 85).
Known from the type locality in Sarawak and Deramakota in Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo) in lowland hilly rainforest.
