Breviceps sopranus Minter, 2003, Afr. J. Herpetol., 52: 16. Holotype: TMP 70156, by original designation. Type locality: "St Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal (28° 28′ S, 32° 25′ E, alt. 40 m). The type locality is an area of closed-canopy coastal forest with a dense herbaceous undertory, adjacent to the KZN Wildlife offices and conference center."
