Breviceps poweri Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 195. Holotype: BMNH 1932.9.9.1, by original designation. Type locality: "Broken Hill, N. Rhodesia, 3,900 ft." (= Kabwe, Zambia).

English Names

Power's Short-headed Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 88).

Power's Rain Frog (Channing, 2001, Amph. Cent. S. Afr.: 223; Du Preez and Carruthers, 2009, Compl. Guide Frogs S. Afr.: 124).

Distribution

Northeastern Angola east through Zambia, southern Shaba Province (Dem. Rep. Congo), and Malawi, to western Mozambique and northeastern Zimbabwe.
