Breviceps montanus Power, 1926, Ann. S. Afr. Mus., 20: 466. Syntypes: AMG (1 specimen) (now in PEM) and SAM (2 specimens), by original designation. Type locality: "Table Mountain", Cape Peninsula, Western Cape Province, Rep. South Africa.
