Mantidactylus schilfi Glaw and Vences, 2000, Spixiana, München, 23: 75. Holotype: ZFMK 59885, by original designation. Type locality: "'Réserve Naturelle Intégrale Marojezy', Camp 4 (ca. 1250 m above sea level), northeastern Madagascar".

Distribution
Known only from the Parc National de Marojejy, ca. 1250 m elevation, in northeastern Madagascar.
Comment
Annectent between the subgenera Gephyromantis and Phylacomantis according to the original publication. Subsequently placed in subgenus Duboimantis by Glaw and Vences, 2006, Organisms Divers. Evol., 6: 236-253. Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3: 224-225, provided an account.
