Gephyromantis runewsweeki Vences and De la Riva, 2007, Spixiana, München, 30: 136. Holotype: ZSM 49/2005, by original designation. Type locality: "the top of Maharira mountain, Ranomafana National Park, south-eastern Madagascar (21° 20.053′ S, 47° 24.787′ E), ca. 1350 m above sea level."

Comment
In the Gephyromantis boulengeri group according to the original publication. Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3: 212-213, provided an account.
