Mantidactylus (Gephyromantis) rivicola Vences, Glaw, and Andreone, 1997, Alytes, 14: 138. Holotype: ZFMK 57428, by original designation. Type locality: "near Camp 1, Marojezy Strict Nature Reserve (Réserve Naturelle Integrale), northeastern Madagascar, altitude about 300 m above sea level".

Distribution

Northeastern Madagascar from Marojejy south to Masoala, 0-700 m elevation.

Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3: 214-215, provided an account and suggested that the Marojezy and Andranofotsy populations may be distinct species.
