Gephyromantis (Laurentomantis) ranjomavo Glaw and Vences, 2011, Spixiana, München, 34: 122. Holotype: ZSM 222/2005, by original designation. Type locality: "Camp Simpona (14°2 6.199′ S, 49° 44.601′ E, 1326 m above sea level), Marojejy National Park, northeastern Madagascar".

Comment
This species has been addressed before as Gephyromantis spec. aff. horridus "Marojejy" by Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3, and as confirmed candidate species Gephyromantis spec. 11 by Vieites, Wollenberg, Andreone, Köhler, Glaw, and Vences, 2009, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA, 106: 8267-8272.
