Gephyromantis (Gephyromantis) mafy Vieites, Wollenberg, and Vences, 2012, Zootaxa, 3344: 36. Holotype: ZSM 1889/2008, by original designation. Type locality: "Mahasoa campsite, near Ambodisakoa village, northeast of Vohimena at the northeastern edge of Lake Alaotra, Faritany (province) of Toamasina, northern central east of Madagascar, 17.29769° S, 48.70199° E, 1032 m asl".

Comment
Closely related to Gephyromantis eiselti and Gephyromantis thelenae according to the original publication.
