Blommersia variabilis Pabijan, Gehring, Köhler, Glaw, and Vences, 2011, Zootaxa, 2978: 41. Holotype: ZSM 237/2010, by original designation. Type locality: "Ambodivoahangy, northwest of Maroantsetra, northeastern Madagascar (coordinates: 15° 17′ 23.8″ S, 43° 37′ 13.0″ E, below 50 m a.s.l.)".

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Known from four sites in northeastern Madagascar: (1) Maroantsetra, (2) Voloina, (3) Ambodivoahangy, and (4) Ambohinantely.

Comment

This species was referred to as Blommersia sp. aff. blommersae “Maroantsetra” by Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3:, Blommersia sp. aff. wittei (Maroantsetra) by Vences and Glaw, 2006, in Vences et al. (eds.), Calls Frogs Madagascar: 1-44., and Blommersia sp. 2 Maroantsetra by Vences, Köhler, Pabijan, and Glaw, 2010, Afr. J. Herpetol., 59: 133-156.
