Rhacophorus opisthodon Boulenger, 1888, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 6, 1: 105. Holotype: BMNH 1947.2.8.36, according to Blommers-Schlösser and Blanc, 1991, Faune de Madagascar, 75: 335. Type locality: "Madagascar".
