In the Boophis majori group of Glaw, Vences, Andreone, and Vallan, 2001, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 133: 495-529, who also provided an account. Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3: 156-157, provided an account. Randrianiaina, Strauss, Glos, and Vences, 2012, ZooKeys, 178: 59-124, reported on larval morphology.
