Boophis elenae Andreone, 1993, Boll. Mus. Reg. Sci. Nat. Torino, 11: 292. Holotype: MRSN A69, by original designation. Type locality: "the forest near the Vohiparara village, Ranomafana National Park", Madagascar.

None noted.

Distribution

East-central Madagascar in rainforest, 900-1000 m elevation.

Comment

In the Boophis luteus group, according to the original publication. Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3: 168-169, provided an account and noted an unnamed similar species. Andreone, Vences, Glaw, and Randrianirina, 2007, Tropical Zool., 20: 19-39, reported the species from the high plateau of central Madagascar.
