Boophis (Sahona) calcaratus Vallan, Vences, and Glaw, 2010, Amphibia-Reptilia, 31: 3. Holotype: NMBE 1033824, by original designation. Type locality: "Ambavaniasy (18°55.647′S, 48°31.397′E, about 800 m above sea level), central eastern Madagascar".
