Rhacophorus andrangoloaka Ahl, 1928, Zool. Anz., 75: 311. Syntypes: ZMB (2 specimens) unnumbered in original publication of which ZMB 30518 and 50102 are presumed to be these syntypes (see following); ZMB 30518 regarded as holotype (lectotype designation by implication) by Guibé, 1978, Bonn. Zool. Monogr., 11: 74; ZMB 30510 formally designated lectotype by Glaw and Vences, 1997 "1996", Salamandra, 32: 237. Type locality: "Zentralmadagasckar (Angrangoloaka)".

Rhacophorus brevirostris Ahl, 1928, Zool. Anz., 75: 313. Holotype: ZMB unnumbered according to the original publication; ZMB 30518 according to Guibé, 1978, Bonn. Zool. Monogr., 11: 74. Type locality: "N.W. Madagascar"; considered to be in error by Glaw, Köhler, De la Riva, Vieites, and Vences, 2010, Zootaxa, 2383: 16. Synonymy with Boophis rhodoscelis by Guibé, 1978, Bonn. Zool. Monogr., 11: 74. Synonymy with Boophis andrangoloaka by Glaw, Köhler, De la Riva, Vieites, and Vences, 2010, Zootaxa, 2383: 16.

Distribution

Known only from Angrangoloaka and Ambohitantely Special Reserve, northern Madagascar.

Removed from the synonymy of Boophis rhodoscelis by Glaw, Köhler, De la Riva, Vieites, and Vences, 2010, Zootaxa, 2383: 12, where it had been placed by Guibé, 1947, Bull. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat. Paris, Ser. 2, 19: 439; and Guibé, 1978, Bonn. Zool. Monogr., 11: 74.
