Boophis andohahela Andreone, Nincheri, and Piazza, 1995 "1994", Rev. Fr. Aquar. Herpetol., 21: 121. Holotype: MRSN A623, by original designation. Type locality: "Col de Tanatana (altitude ca 400 m), entre les villages d'Isaka Ivondro et d'Eminiminy, ca 35 km nord-nord-ouest de la ville de Tolagnaro (Fort Dauphin), Province de Toliara (Tuléar)", Madagascar.

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the Province of Tulear, extreme southeastern Madagascar.

Comment

Allied with the Boophis luteus and Boophis rappiodes groups, according to the original publication. Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3: 170-171, provided an account and treated this species as a member of the Boophis luteus group. Randrianiaina, Strauss, Glos, and Vences, 2012, ZooKeys, 178: 59-124, reported on larval morphology.
