Tyler in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 397. Type locality: "North coast of Australia; Port Essington", Northern Territory, Australia.

Throughout northern half of New South Wales (from coast of far west), Queensland, northern half of Northern Territory, and northeastern Western Australia (Kimberley region), Australia.
