Ischnocnema penaxavantinho Giaretta, Toffoli, and Oliveira, 2007, Zootaxa, 1666: 44. Holotype: ZUEC 13639, by original designation. Type locality: "Estação Ecológica do Panga (around 19°11′ S; 48°24′ W) municipality of Uberlândia, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil".

In a cluster of species traditionally considered to be related to Ischnocnema juipoca according to the original publication.
