Paratelmatobius mantiqueira Pombal and Haddad, 1999, Copeia, 1999: 1021. Holotype: MZUSP 15134, by original designation. Type locality: "Cidade Azul (approximately 22° 51′ S; 45° 44′ W), Município de Campos do Jordão, Estado de São Paulo, Brazil".

Distribution

Known from the type locality in the Serra de Mantiqueira, São Paulo state, and 130 km to the east at 1650 m in the Área de Preservação Ambiental da Mantiqueira, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil .

Comment

Vrcibradic, Ariani, Van Sluys, and Rocha, 2010, Check List, 6: 1-2, reported the Rio de Janiero record and discussed the range.
