Leptodactylus ventrimaculatus Boulenger, 1902, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 7, 9: 53. Syntypes: BMNH 1947.2.17.78-80 (3 specimens); BMNH 1947.2.17.78 designated lectotype by Heyer and Peters, 1971, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 84: 166. Type locality: "Bulún [Pulún], 160 feet", Esmeraldas Province, northwestern Ecuador.

English Names

Bulun White-lipped Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 82).

Distribution

Central Ecuador to northern Peru, west of the Andes, and in Colombia on the Pacific lowlands north to Antioquia.
