Leptodactylus guianensis Heyer and de Sá, 2011, Smithson. Contrib. Zool., 635: 35. Holotype: USNM 531509, by original designation. Type locality: "Guyana; Rupunini, Iwokrama Forest Reserve, Sipuruni River, Pakatau Camp, 4° 45′ 17″ N, 59° 01′ 28″ W, 85 m".

Distribution

Lowland portions of the Guiana Shield regions of Guyana, Surinam, Venezuela, and adjacent Brazil.

Comment

Confused with Leptodactylus bolivianus prior to its naming according to the original publication. Lescure and Marty, 2000, Collect. Patrimoines Nat., Paris, 45: 240-241, provided a photo and brief account for French Guiana (as Leptodactylus bolivanus).
