Leptodactylus camaquara Sazima and Bokermann, 1978, Rev. Brasil. Biol., 38: 907. Holotype: WCAB 48120, by original designation, now in MZUSP. Type locality: "Km. 132 de Estrada Vespasiano a Conceição do Mato Dentro, Serra do Cipó, (1500 m) Jaboticatubas, Minas Gerais, Brasil".

English Names

Jaboticatubas Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 81).

Digger Foam Frog (Eterovick and Sazima, 2004, Anf. Serra do Cipó: 83).

Distribution

Serra do Espinhaço, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Comment

In the Leptodactylus gracilis group (= Leptodactylus fuscus group), according to the original publication. Leite, Pezzuti, and Viana, 2006, Check List, 2(1): 5, provided an additional locality. Eterovick and Sazima, 2004, Anf. Serra do Cipó: 83-84, provided a photograph and brief account.
