Comment

In the Leptodactylus fuscus group of Heyer, 1978, Sci. Bull. Nat. Hist. Mus. Los Angeles Co., 29: 1-85. Hedges and Heinicke, 2007, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 44: 308-314, supported the synonymy of Leptodactylus dominicensis on the basis of molecular evidence and discussed the biogeography of Leptodactylus albilabris. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status (as nominal Leptodactylus dominicensism sensu stricto) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 401.
