Leptodactylus dantasi Bokermann, 1959, Neotropica, 5: 5. Holotype: WCAB 1240, by original designation; now MZUSP 78852 according to Souza and Haddad, 2003, J. Herpetol., 37: 491. Type locality: "Feijó, Territorio [now State] do Acre, Brasil".

Distribution

Amazonian forest of Acre, Brazil.

See account (as Leptodactylus dantasi) by Heyer, 1970, Contrib. Sci. Nat. Hist. Mus. Los Angeles Co., 191: 5-7. De la Riva, Köhler, Lötters, and Reichle, 2000, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 14: 57, and Köhler, 2000, Bonn. Zool. Monogr., 48: 69, considered this species (as Leptodactylus dantasi) possibly to occur in Bolivia. Souza and Haddad, 2003, J. Herpetol., 37: 490-497, transferred the species to Hydrolaetare and provided an account.
