Eleutherodactylus juipoca Sazima and Cardoso, 1978, Rev. Brasil. Biol., 38: 921. Holotype: MNRJ 4013, by original designation. Type locality: "Souzas, Campinas, São Paulo, Brasil (aprox. 22° 50′ S, 46° 58′ W; 620 m alt.)".

Distribution

Vicinity of the type locality in the state of São Paulo, and the southern end of the Serra do Espinhaço, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus binotatus group, according to the original publication. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) binotatus series, Eleutherodactylus binotatus group of Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 226. Canelas and Bertoluci, 2007, Iheringia, Zool., 97: 21-26, provided a second locality. In the Ischnocnema verrucosa species series of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 29. Eterovick and Sazima, 2004, Anf. Serra do Cipó: 79-80, provided a photograph and brief account (as Eleutherodactylus juipoca). Cruz, Feio, and Caramaschi, 2009, Anf. Ibitipoca: 54-55, provided photographs and a brief account for Parque Estadual do Ibitipoca, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
