Adenomera araucaria Kwet and Angulo, 2002, Alytes, 20: 30. Holotype: MCP 2421, by original designation. Type locality: "Centro de Pesquisas e Conservação da Natureza Pró-Mata (CPCN) (about 950 m a.s.l.), 29° 30′ S, 50° 10′ W, municipality of São Francisco de Paula, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil".

Southern part of the Serra Geral, Rio Grande do Sul and southern Santa Catarina, Brazil.
