Distribution

Extreme southern Texas (USA), Sonora (Mexico), and northern Antilles, south to Brazil.

Comment

Subfamily reformulated by Pyron and Wiens, 2011, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 61: 543-583 as the sister taxon of Leiuperinae + Paratelmatobiinae.
