Paludicola pusilla Ruthven, 1916, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 30: 1. Holotype: UMMZ 48305, by original designation and according to Peters, 1952, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 539: 19. Type locality: "Fundacion, [Sierra de Santa Marta,] Colombia".

Pseudopaludicola pusilla — Parker, 1927, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 9, 20: 455.

Paludicola exigua Rivero, 1961, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 126: 86. Nomen nudum provided in synonymy of Paludicola pusilla Ruthven. Reported incorrectly as having been coined by Boettger, 1896, Ber. Senckenb. Naturforsch. Ges., 1896: liv. Based on specimens in SMF from "Inírida", Venezuela.

Distribution

Lower and Middle Magdalena River valley and the Caribbean lowlands of northern Colombia and northern Venezuela.
