Leiuperus nebulosus Burmeister, 1861, Reise La Plata-Staaten, 2: 532. Type(s): Not designated; holotype considered ZMB 7374 by Boulenger, 1887, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 5, 20: 295. Type locality: "Bei Mendoza", Argentina.

Distribution

Argentina in the provinces of Catamarca, Córdoba, La Pampa, La Rioja, Mendoza, Neuquén, Río Negro, Salta, San Juan, San Luis, and Tucumán, 150-1200 m elevation.

Ferraro and Casagranda, 2009, Zootaxa, 2024: 33-55, provided a detailed discussion of range in Argentina. Galvani, Gonzales, Sanabria, and Quiroga, 2012, Zootaxa, 3450: 9-11, reported on larval morphology.
